TOTALLY IN SPANISH:
A. Real Academia Española (RAE)
The Real Academia Española (RAE) is the official royal institution responsible for regulating the Spanish language. It is based in Madrid, Spain, but is affiliated with national language academies in twenty-one Spanish-speaking nations through the Association of Spanish Language Academies. The use of the dictionary is completely free. In addition to the dictionary, there are other resources available for free. For any one wanting to improve his/her Spanish, you will find this tool to be invaluable.

SPANISH-ENGLISH / ENGLISH-SPANISH DICTIONARIES:
There are many online language dictionaries. Many will allow you to use the product a few times and then require that you register (some are free, others might require a user fee). You probably would be better off purchasing a dictionary at a bookstore versus using an online version. Here is a very small sample of what is available online:

VIII. RESOURCES FOR THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER:

A. Bablingua
A wonderful source for authentic Spanish videos that are specifically created for the Middle School and High School  Spanish classroom. Videos are short in length (2-8 minutes) and address vocabulary and grammar that would be covered in a typical Spanish course. Each video comes with worksheets (.pdf file) and addtional listening exercises. Prices are very reasonable. All materials are downloaded over the Internet to your computer for instant use.

B. Champs-Elysées Audio Magazines
This is a wonderful resource for anyone wanting to improve one's Spanish, French, Italian, or German along with increasing one's cultural knowledge as well as current news and events. Materials can also be used in the classroom (advanced levels).

C. FilmArobics
Full-length foreign films in French, Spanish, German, and Italian with lesson plans. Films for ELL are also available. Popular American films (i.e., Babe, Shrek, etc.) that have been dubbed are also available in the four foreign languages mentioned.
