The goals of the Language Other Than English (LOTE) department of McGregor High School are threefold: (1) that the student develop communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) in Spanish, (2) that the student become aware of and better understand and appreciate the culture (art, music, food, literature, architecture, traditions, etc.) and history of the Spanish world, and (3) that the student become a lifelong learner and user of Spanish.
